Kitten Blog- 30 days in the life of Persian breeders The first 30 days Day 1 6/4/05 12:48 PM It is a child! Male black and white persian kite born 6/4/05 approx. 4 a.m., weighs 3.0 oz., seems to be breast-feeding well (the first time mom seems to be enjoying her baby). The kitten has a black point in the face right in the nose and several black points in his belly. At birth, the kitten seems to have a good round head soft, huge eyes and a pleasant rest. Time will tell. I hope to keep this man as my substitute for his grandfather who died right after this boy's mother was born. His grandfather drowned in the food and died in my arms. I loved him and promised not to replace him unless with a son of his daughter. This is your first bunk and this is the only kitten born, and the baby looks a lot like Grandpa! Mom can have another kitten on the other horn. It's hard to say right now. I want to call it Oarion Number 3. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Day 2 06/05/2005 12:23 PM single male survived the night: without my help. 3.1 ozI ended up feeding the newborn kitten twice, 3 cc yesterday based on not seeing him breastfeeding as I felt that it was due when the day progressed. Both meals were distributed to 7 hours away. He took my milk bottle like he was hungry. She left the milk. I didn't press any pressure. I also gave him .01 cc of zithromax (50mg per cc) to ensure that no fluid was in his lungs at birth, so that Mom delivered it and cleaned it on her own. He wants the black spot on his face to be white! Day 3 06/08/2005 1:18 PM He's winning on his way! 3.4 ozThis little boy has no idea why I keep taking him from Mom to photograph him. Thank God it takes less than a minute to take the opportunity as it moves around me. He was 100% sick on his own from the 2 reinforcement meals I gave him on Day 1 and not only keeps, but he's now winning. I'm very happy with how Mom's taking care of him. She's a happy mother and she loves her baby. Day 4 6/8/05 1:18 PM It's getting so cute. :-)3.7 oz It looks so much like his grandfather and his mother who brings a smile like that to my heart. I still wish I could have one yet I don't see how, because his father is a solid blue Persian. My dream would be to have my new Oarion with blue eyes. Yeah, I know, a dream, but God willing, it can still be. Day 5 06/08/2005 1:18 PM I begin to do a lot. 4.4 oz It's starting to grow nicely and is moving a bit into your bed. Mom still stays with him most of the day and he's breastfeeding well, but I find him in strange places in his bed as the back corner behind Mom, I just take him back to Mom. I met several times looking at his photo of day 4 and admire him. I messed up with kisses this morning while I keep coming back to his bed while cleaning the house. Day 6 Trying to decide a name. . . . 06/09/2005 11:16 AM 4,7 Oz Growing beautiful and right on the track. It's certainly, and the new man of Purrinlot, of a family race. You should wear a thick full layer factor. His eyes seem to be of good size. Of course, I look forward to the huge round eyes of insects that his mother (Package surprise), his grandparents (GC Purrinlot Baby Doll and GC Purrinlot Crown Kiss) and his great grandfather (RW GC Kiss and Tell) had. His father GC Gianni should help him in his body and build... looking for a tank of a truck! Day 7 06/10/2005 12:33 am What a child!5.1 ozI goes to the dinner of the Regional Prize of the South and will not get the weight and picture of this weekend published. Waiting to go home and see him. For a week of age, Persian kittens should have doubled their weight. This kitten is a little low but breastfeeding well. Day 10 12:45 PM Eyes begin to open and their body. O what child!6.1 ozAfter being out for 2 days, I am so impressed with how nice this kitten is developing. Sometimes, we as breeders need to go out and really know if a kitten is as nice as we think. This kid's getting nicer for the time I think. :-) His legs are tree trunks and his body is a box without a neck at all. And I'm finally getting used to the place on his face. I think I could name it Oarianni, pronounced Or-ree-on-e. This name represents Grandpa Oarion, and Dad Gianni. The name means Son of Light-Zalous: God is Fisio - sanctified. Day 11 06/14/2005 10:01 AM Such cutie. :-)6.4 oz I had planned to stop showing after my last regional race with GC RW Purrinlot carries my breath. Today, I think God could have a different plan for me, because here I am with this kitten and I feel an incredible joy in my heart once again. Since he's a man, using him in my parenting program means he should be shown. I can use females without showing... but not a male. Besides, showing brings with it an incredible link for someone else to show you would also be a non-no at this point. If he goes on well, I'll show him a grain. If not, he will be my last man in honor of Oarion. Day 12 15/06/2005 10:53 AM Fatening! 6.7ozThis little Persian is spoiling. I can't help it! :-)Day 13 06/16/2005 04:33 PM You can't have any sweeter! 7.1 ozThe bath kit is sleepy today. :-) But still eat and grow wonderfully! Day 14 17/02/2005 1:22 PM Kitten leans to hold his head. 7.5 ozBaby Kitty shakes a little while holding her head. Day 15 6/18/05 3:07 PM You can almost stand on foot7.7 ozKitten slowed down in the weight gain of these 24 hours, but still won and seems to be doing well. I see a lot of Oarion in this baby, but I don't know if your head will be so wonderful. Today I noticed a little dead dome in the center of the forehead. Day 16 06/20/2005 4:10 PM Wow, won a lot since yesterday! 8.6 ozKitten is beginning to grow. I can say for the frame in the picture behind him. Looks like he has no ears. I love it. :-) It doesn't seem to be changing every day, unless you come back and compare on day 1 to day 16. This new Persian born is really something! It makes being a Persian breeder fun and exciting. Day 17 21/06/2010 2:37 I think I have found it in my arms today more than I have left you mother's nurse.9.1ozIf this guy had no white inside his ears, I would swear he had none! I have not even begun to cut those long strata of tuffs from the tips yet:-) Oarianni is going to be the most spoiled persse ever! Oops. :-)Día 18 6/22/05 4:23 PM Love this boy's head! 9.4 oz I changed the bed linen and gave Oarianni a new bed today. Mom wasn't very sure about it, but she finally decided to come up. :-) My kitty has grown! Day 19 23/06/2005 Breathing taking - to maintain or worship! 10.0 ozIt has been a busy day and even the baby is in stern today. Kitten is on his way with his weight for his age. Persian kittens usually win a half ounce every day. Day 20 06/24/2005 3:55 PM Kitten still can't stand 10.5 ozBaby is starting to try to stop, but it slides down. He merges while I try to take his picture. He's sleeping a lot and he doesn't have his eyes open yet. Persian Kittens sleeps for the first few weeks all day except when it feeds. Day 21 06/25/2005 2:09 PM It's time to cut those ear tuffs! 10.7oz Baby Kitten has learned to hold his head but is a bit agitated. I've been examining your head a little lately. I have come to the conclusion that it is very wide, like an adult Persian head already, with a great dome and actually quite soft. It's almost like Kitty had an adult's head on her kitty body. It is also beginning to show signs of moving its break up and into becoming more extreme. It fits with the Standard Persian extremely well. Day 22 06/26/2005 2:33 PM Cut it out. :-)11:3 oz He cut his eyes and ears and decided to take the picture with his eyes closed looking through the lids, make a straight line and is exactly in line with the rest. This is what you want to show Persian cats and this shows me that your eyes will be around. It has a small nose but the nasal pits have bigger openings, which is another good thing. No breathing problems! Day 23 06/27/2005 11:55 AM My God! 11.7 OzKitten looked at me and literally looked at me, and noticed my voice. Today was the first time he saw me and met me. Our bond has begun. :-)Day 24 06/29/2005 2:30 PM I think he's finally getting used to me. 12.3 OzToday, Oarianni got up pretty well on the front legs only, and the child has learned to sneak well since yesterday. While I'm writing this, this kitty is sitting on my lap, sweet and happy! Day 25 06/30/2005 11:42 AM As I speak he looks at me. 12.7 OzI am beginning to see this guy's eyes in the hope that they will begin to show signs of growth. As I rubbed his face, he licked my finger, kissing me, because they feed him pretty well. Like Persian Breeders, we want big round eyes on our Persians. I as a breeder prefer the eyes that appear around, known as error eyes. :-)Day 26 07/01/2005 3:36 PM He is very cute! I love this boy! 13.1 OzToday the kitten has seen me as empty and walking around the room. It has also stopped several times this morning, but its rear legs tend to slide down after a little bit. You can almost walk forward. :-) His mom wants to play with him, but Kitty just looks at her with wonder. It's always been a great "kitten" always ready to play. I have to admit it's been a wonderful mommy since the first day. I am so grateful for this, because a good mother is worth more than her weight in gold when it comes to the Persians! Many Persian women don't really help at birth and sometimes raise their sewers. Day 27 07/02/2005 7:03 PM Today he is sitting alone. 13.2 ozKitten the weight slowed down a tad during the night, but his alert did not. This baby has seen all my movements today and even talked a meow or two to me. Day 28 07/03/2005 1:43 PM You are walking. I'm surprised he didn't learn to get out of bed. 13.6 OzI told my husband yesterday, if he thinks that I strip GC Purrinlot Hercules, Oarianni has beaten him. When my children were young, they actually had jealousy outbreaks on my bond with GC Purrinlot Hercules. Be aware that my children are all in their twenties, so when Hercules was a baby, they were much younger. Today, children have their own favorites, which also spoil. Day 29 07/04/2005 2:53 PM Speaking of getting out of bed! 14.2 ozKitten came out of his bed today. He actually fell off the first time. He leaned and suddenly he was on the other side. After a few moments, I put him back in his bed and he didn't look at me before, he came back out of his bed. What a smart gatite Persian, very smart! I also noticed today that your eyes are beginning to appear huge and round bug and as I like Persian eyes. He really inherited his Persian family tree of good appearance. :-)Day 30 07/05/2005 9:43 AM He is my son!15.1Today marks the official day of having a month of age for this Persian kitten. He's a big boy, and it's turned out to be all he expected. :-) I have some shows I'm looking for you in October and November. I was hoping Oarianni would hit the mark of a pound on his weight for this date. It's a little low, but I don't care. It feels good and acts wonderful. It's not only kitten standing and walking today, run to and from the camera! Oarianni is 2 months old. It will be called, Purrinlot Main Attraction and shown this next fall:-)Day 60, 8 weeks old, kitty eyes are growing and are becoming a super copper color! It's a ankle! picture at 10 weeks Purrinlot Main attraction - my love! April 10, 2006 It has taken me more than 3 months to write on this blog about my baby kitten. As I write, I'm still in tears. I entered this kitty at the International November 2005 to be shown in kitten class. A week before the show, Oaranni got into the living room. It seemed sad. I picked up my baby, and he got wet on me. I knew something was wrong. I turned off my kitten until his strength came back. By January, I was back again. His kidneys were failing. I had to have my baby to sleep in mid-January. I had the vet doing all kinds of tests. I was afraid that my kitten would have been poisoned by the scare of diamond food, because that's what we were feeding all the Persians in the cellar and my kitten. The lab said they could see signs of the poison, but that's not what took it from me in his opinion. Oaranni meant the world to me... what happened to him? Why did I lose him? The final test pointed to the PKD. I had recently tried Mom and knew it was negative. We had rented his father and they told us that he was negative, so I argued and asked for further testing and testing. Less than a month ago, I was sent by e-mail to sad news. Oaranni's father had been found positive for PKD. The puzzle finally did since. In my eyes and my heart. My kitten had everything. He was my perfect baby. He had everything, but his health. . . and to be honest, that health is and will always be more important than the perfect head, big eyes, beautiful coat. Oaranni was all I expected, everything I wanted in my child, except inside, the parts I couldn't see... was sick. Some history. In 1998, Purrinlot founded the first PKD clinic in Virginia. At that time, it was very difficult to know if a cat was positive or negative for the gene. Today, we have the DNA test, but even with this test, some Persians are lost and hearts are broken. Trust me... I lost my dear boy. As a note: Purrinlot used PKD positive cats in the previous days and with time the positives worked. We don't jump to negatives at once. We saved our pool of Persian genes. The reason we didn't jump was that we found many positive Persian cats were really DNA 'ed negative, so we were grateful we waited for the right test. Today, our policy is to work only with negative lines, as I built my negative and strong lines!. I miss you, Oaranni! An Anna Tip: cat tips are all over our site: "Be sure to change the kitten water daily to keep it fresh, and to protect kidney health, distilled or filtered water is better." 28 July 2011 I have seen this blog and the images of Oaranni many, many times over the years, and today, I still cry and still mourn for this child I worshiped. However, God is faithful. My little "Purrinlot Ameris The Beautiful" acts like the twin of Oaranni al tee. Even I know she's not him and she's opposed in every way. It's a red tabby and a white van with two blue eyes... Over the years, I've tried to replace My Baby Oaranni with various upbringings, and I've never found my black and white boy I want so much. Then one morning, this kitten was born... and I had an attachment to it immediately at birth, which I could not explain. Purrinlot Ameris BeautifulRed's tabby and white go Persian female kitty with 2 blue eyes! He even speaks without stopping me and hugs deeply in my neck as Oaranni did. :-) It's always advertised when he enters a room like he did.
